OUR STORY
Local eye care.
Since 1965.
We’re an independent West Australian family practice at Westfield Carousel, offering eye examinations, contact lens fitting and eyewear.
THE NAMES ABOVE OUR DOOR
Carl Dannell.
Tom Gollop.
Carl Sigfred Arthur Dannell and Herbert Samuel George “Tom” Gollop established Dannell & Gollop in Perth city in 1965.
Over the years, the name was also carried by practices in Geraldton, Port Hedland, Gwelup and Byford. Along with the original Perth city practice, these former locations are part of our West Australian story.
We’re proud to carry Carl and Tom’s names above our door, and grateful to the teams and patients who helped shape Dannell & Gollop across those communities.
Meet Carl and TomTHE FAMILY AT CAROUSEL
A familiar name.
A family practice.
Andrew and Helen Sng became the owners of Dannell & Gollop in 2003.
They continued the practice’s tradition of personal eye care. Today, our optometrists, optical staff and laboratory technicians work together at Carousel.
Our former Midland Gate practice was also part of the Sng family’s story, welcoming patients from the country and the local community.
Contact lenses have been part of our work since 1965. We offer fittings and advice for first-time and experienced wearers.
We’re still independently owned, with the freedom to choose the frames and lenses we stock. We’ll help you find a combination that suits your prescription, your day and your budget.
Your appointment is a chance to talk about your eyes and how you use them. Whether you spend your day at a screen, drive regularly or need glasses for reading, tell us what’s working and what isn’t. We’ll explain your options so you can decide what comes next.
